- Preheat your pizza oven to 700–750°F (370–400°C) or a conventional oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Let the pizza dough rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes if refrigerated.
- Lightly flour your work surface and stretch the dough into a 12-inch circle, leaving the edges slightly thicker.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
- Spread the mozzarella slices evenly over the sauce.
- Arrange the pepperoni over the cheese.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
- Bake in the pizza oven for 2–4 minutes, rotating every 20–30 seconds until the crust is blistered and the cheese is bubbling. If using a conventional oven, bake for 14–18 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is lightly browned.
- Mix together the melted butter, garlic, and parsley, then brush the mixture over the hot crust.
- Garnish with fresh basil if desired, let the pizza rest for 2–3 minutes, slice, and serve.
